Look closer at life around a pond

A pond has more to explore than the water you see on top. In Nature Reach, your child can search the picture for animals in the shallows, on the surface and along the bank.

Some animals swim below the surface, some move across it, and others climb onto the bank or rocks.

Can you find the animal?

In Easy mode, Nature Reach asks your child to find a named animal on the pond map. Your child looks through the scene and taps the animal to answer.

Make a pond picture in 3 to 5 minutes

  1. Draw a pond with a waterline, a bank and a rock beside the water.
  2. Add a duck on the surface, a young dragonfly underwater and a turtle basking on the rock.
  3. Take turns choosing one of the animals without saying its name, then describe what it does so the other person can guess.
